We continue to improve our manufacturing processes and capabilities through the addition of multiple (6) robotic welding cells in both our Atlanta, GA and Fort Wayne, IN locations. The benefits of robotic welding for our customers include cost reduction, improvement in weld consistency and quality, and greater production output.
Several years ago, Phoenix Stamping recognized the need for better capability to produce low volume sheet metal products. We began investing in laser cutting technology and now have four (4) lasers in two facilities. This gives us the capacity to cut up to 7/8” thick material on 60” x 120” sheets of steel, and allows us the ability to produce multiple parts for our customers where tooling is not practical either due to price or volume.
As we continue to work with our customers to add value to the finished products we supply, this has driven a need for more complex assemblies and weldments. We utilize multiple CNC machining centers to produce components for these assemblies, or at times for individual finished products.
